Conflict Prevention Group has been participating in qualified dialogue processes regarding Syria in the Middle East since spring of 2017. The aim is to unify leading representatives from a number of opposition groups in Syria. In this ongoing dialogue, with its center in Istanbul, there are tens of representatives from different parts of the fighting Syrian opposition, Islamists, secular and Kurds.

We are working on this process on behalf of the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA). We meet regulary in Istanbul, and with good results, according to FBA.

Our aim is to maximally strengthen the mediator in his/her role by contributing to creative psychological perspectives and, if necessary, assist with qualified crisis management. Psychological perspectives greatly facilitate conflict situations and create good conditions for communication even in difficult situations. It increases understanding, trust and confidence. Relational affiliation makes dialogues possible beyond dissent and opens paths for common future goals.
